Lαurα αujour∂'hui: The Birds and Gen
Today, Emily Bidwell from Etsy featured local stores in Etsy Finds from various countries including South Africa. Below is one that really stood out for me.
Genevieve Motley (Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal)
Gen opened her store on March 19th, 2009 and currently has made 164 sales, with 121 items for sale.
She describes herself as “a bird-obsessed jewelry designer and a lover of all things feminine and nature inspired”. Her custom-made jewelry (earrings, rings, necklaces and brooches) is designed and made using various materials including Jacaranda wood, which is from a local tree famous for casting a ‘purple carpet’ upon the floor in Spring.
Below are a few of her items. Click the image to view the product and its details on Etsy.
